I'm still playing "catch up" a bit: This video is also from last December, when Janice and I were with Craig & Diane Bauman and their lovely/lively family in Ohio. Here we get to watch Weston, Miriam, Dorothy, and Lydia play a verse of "I Sing the Mighty Power of God," with some soft family noises in the background.
If you go to my 'MORE Music With Friends' page you'll find several more Bauman videos— of mixed instruments, and of Abigail playing on her Celestial lap harp made by her father, Craig, and her floor model Gothic harp made by Reuben Hostetler.
And the questions naturally come: "Why do we make music?" Why do we 'sing the mighty power of God'? What happens if we don't? How does it help us if we do? Is God impressed... is He pleased?
_Several months ago, Janice and I were privileged to eat dinner with the Kravets family, and enjoy some fellowship and great music afterward.
In this video, David, Sergey, Yuriy, and Vlad play an old favorite hymn, on strings.

A Songwriting Tip
Lying in bed this morning— in those drowsy, almost-awake, musings— I realized I was in my all-too-frequent pattern of mentally beating myself up.
Several stupid mistakes I had made in volleyball last evening bounced through my mind, mixing with other assorted 'failures' until suddenly a new song [see my iPhone screen-shot, above] came to me— all the words of the first verse arriving with the melody.
