Always Kiss Me Goodnight

A year ago I saw a gift sign in a local store, with the motto "Always KISS ME Goodnight." I shot a photo of it, then wrote down this tune & one verse of lyrics on a folded pocket paper which I always carry for such a purpose.
[only a "Demo Quality" recording... (no, the vocals certainly ain't professional)
I went home... buried the paper— and totally FORGOT about the song, until I re-discovered it a month ago.

And now I wonder.  Is it too corny... too simplistic...?  Or is it just one of those reminders we all occasionally need: To share our love with those who do so much for us— while we are still ALIVE and able to do it!

As a man happily married for more than four decades, I of course thought about the beautiful lady in the video as I was working on the song. But you can also apply much of the message to children in your home, etc.

Thank You, Lord, for sanctified LOVE.
[A third verse added later]
Sweetly slip me your hand, Squeeze, and I'll understand,
Daily beholding new mercies unfolding, We'll share the love God has planned;
Hearing your thoughts and your longings,
The ways of your heart I'll explore–
Hold me, love me, and I'll love you more and more.

    Tips... Insights... Song-writing How-to... Critiques... Time-saving Methods... to help make YOU a joyful bard for the Lord.

    My best-known songs are probably "Lo, I Come"– composed before I was married– and "Teach Me, O Lord, to Number My Days" which you may have seen in various hymnals. I have many others trying to sneak out of their file folders, to join the march of music around the world.

    Some will be introduced here first as just lyrics, to study the crafting of their messages, others will have music mp3 files or videos also.
